The Wexford Opera Festival mass 2023 will take place on Sunday October 29th at 12 noon. The Missa Brevis, by contemporary Dutch composer Jacob de Haan will be sung by Rowe street choir under their director Donagh Wylde. The choir will be joined by the distinguished internationally renowned organist Professor Emeritus Maynooth, Gerard Gillen and our soloist is the award winning and rising star, soprano Ami Hewitt from Wexford Festival Opera.
De Haan’s compositional style is melodic and rhythmically vibrant . The mass is equally appealing to both performer and listener alike and Rowe street We are very much looking forward to performing and sharing this beautiful mass on Sunday October 29th at 12 noon.
Jacob de Haan born 1959, is a contemporary composer known for Choral and wind music. He has published various vocal works, including a number of masses for choir, wind band and soloists.
