The Friend's Meeting House - Wexford Camino

The Friend's Meeting House Wexford

From the 17th Century there was a strong Quaker presence in Co. Wexford. Their first meetings were in each other’s homes.

Their first meeting house was erected in 1743 but fell into disrepair. A new meeting house was built on the site in 1842. By 1884 the meeting only had seven members.

The building was sold in 1927. It is now the property of the Loch Garman band.

Prayer

May love and laughter light your days and warm your heart and home. May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you may roam. May peace and plenty Bless your world with joy that long endures, may all life’s passing seasons bring the best to you and yours. Amen.
