St. Michael’s
St. Michael's Wexford
St. Michael’s was of Viking origin. It was outside the walls of the Viking town.
The story is that the Vikings used to light a beacon here to guide their ships safely in to the harbour.
Prayer
Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do though O Prince of the Heavely Host, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who wander the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.
