This weekend, the whole community of Wexford Parish congratulates Bride St Folk Group who celebrate 45 years since they were founded back in 1979. In that time, the past and present members of the Folk Group have enriched countless liturgies, Masses and significant events with their music, hymns and songs of praise. They have sang and provided music for the happiest of times, the saddest of times and everything in between. But most of all, they have given themselves generously every Saturday evening for the vigil Mass in Bride St for all those years. For this we thank them, congratulate them and wish them every blessing for now and for the future. ‘To the Trinity be praise! God is music, God is life that nurtures every creature in its kind.
